Making progress
Here, Iraq Marines are being interviewed aboard a small ship during training with Coalition forces. Media are not permitted to photograph their faces to protect their safety. Hence, I obscured their faces. I found them very enthusiastic, happy to be working with us, and eager to learn.
Not going soft or anything, but I saw these the other day and figured there might be someone that might like these guys
Wrecked dhow in front of Sailboat bridge
A dhow is a traditional Arab fishing boat
Sailboat bridge
I don't know if that's the real name - it's just what everyone calls it. Rode my bike across the other day.
New trade building in financial district
These royal guys pictured on the building are everywhere and all buildings, public and private, are required to have their pictures on the walls
Pedro?
I kept calling this guy Pedro, but his name is probably something like Hammad, and he is likely going to be made into a shwarma soon, so I didn't want to get to know him too well.
